Reasons Why Sarah Palin Sucks

1. She was born in Sandpoint, Idaho (96.24% white), raised in Wasilla, Alaska (85.46% white), and she went to college in Hawaii, Idaho and Alaska...which means that she has never been around a large amount of black people.

2. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism. I'm not really knocking communications or journalism because that's the field I'm in, but I would really prefer if the leaders of my country had law degrees, PhDs or at least majored in political science.

3. She was the mayor of a city that she grew up in that only had a population of about 6,000 people. She is the governor of a state that has a population of 683, 478. Detroit has 916, 952 residents. The US has 305, 247, 000 people in it. Am I only the person who sees a problem with that?

4. Her first months as mayor of Wasilla were so rocky that there was talk of a recall attempt in 1997.

5. She named her first child Track because he was born during the track season...good thing he wasn't born in the fall. Football Palin would have made a great name!

6. She is already surrounded by scandal w/ the whole Troopergate thing.

7. She has no foreign policy experience and keeps trying to front like she does.

8. She mocked Obama's community organizing efforts during her RNC speech.

9. She required women to pay for their own rape examinations while she was mayor.

10. She remains inaccessible to the media and the public. She has only given 3 network interviews compared to Biden--who has done 89 national and local interviews. I guess she thinks this is some kind of third world country or that Americans are dumber than she is.

11. During the few interviews that she has done, she has proven that she is an expert at dodging and avoiding answering crucial questions.

12. She hasn't done her research on what the VP role actually consists of. Somebody should've been in Inteviewing 101. Bush Doctrine anyone?

13. When CNN interviewed her so called friends, half of them weren't even going to vote for her. Hmmm...

14. She told Katie Couric that she think the US might be heading into a Great Depression. You can't say things like that when you're a leader! You're supposed to offer people hope not freak them out.

15. She just sucks in general. Go back to Alaska. The first thing Obama should do when he becomes president is kick Alaska out of the US for producing you.

Whew...and I'm done. Feel free to post your thoughts about all of this...rather negative or positive...I'm interested in hearing what YOU (yeah YOU) have to say.

Sarah Palin wouldn't be the first VP who was a journalist, look at Al Gore.

Let me state however, I am not a fan of her.

On another hilarity note, I did hear rumor that Alaska wants to succeed from the union. Or a political party in Alaska.

Look it up, not really putting validity to it. Just something that I heard.

That's probably why Al Gore's claim to fame is making "An Inconvenient Truth". Lol jk.

And I did hear a lil sumthin about that. I'm all for it! lol

YOU SAY:
Whew...and I'm done. Feel free to post your thoughts about all of this...rather negative or positive...I'm interested in hearing what YOU (yeah YOU) have to say.

In response to your "Reason's why Sarah Palin Sucks", by number:

1. She was born in Sandpoint, Idaho (96.24% white), raised in Wasilla, Alaska (85.46% white), and she went to college in Hawaii, Idaho and Alaska...which means that she has never been around a large amount of black people.
Obama was born in Honolulu where the black population is only 1.92% then lived and went to school in Jakarta where the population was 96% Asian and 0% black. So, what’s your point?

2. She has a Bachelor of Science degree in communications-journalism. I'm not really knocking communications or journalism because that's the field I'm in, but I would really prefer if the leaders of my country had law degrees, PhDs or at least majored in political science.

Some of the best presidents in history had diverse educations. For example, Abraham Lincoln was self-educated for the most part and had he equivalent of 18 months of formal education. George Washington had the equivalent of elementary school education. Teddy Roosevelt was a taxidermist, did attend law school but dropped out, was a boxer, a science fanatic, an outdoorsman, and a conservationist. Dwight Eisenhower was a night foreman, Naval Accademy attendee and a 5 star general. Harry Truman was a timekeeper for a railroad contractor, a bank clerk, a farmer and an American serviceman. John F. Kennedy dropped out of Princeton, was a ranch hand and eventually got a B.S. in business.

By the way, Joe Biden, Obama’s running mate graduated with a B.A. in history and political science, but he ranked 506th out of a class of 688. He admits he was a “lazy” student. He did go to law school, but ranked 76th out of a class of 85th and he plagiarized 6 of 15 pages of his law review article; although he said it was because he didn’t know the proper rules of citation. Duh? After getting an F, they did let him take the course again and dropped it from his record. How convenient. And in 1987, he plagiarized his speech and dropped out as a candidate for president because of the scandal. He also receved five student draft deferments. He was then reclassified by the selective service bureau as not being available because he had asthma as a teenager.
Obama was a leader on the South Side of Chicago and one can see the great progress made there; NOT.

3. She was the mayor of a city that she grew up in that only had a population of about 6,000 people. She is the governor of a state that has a population of 683, 478. Detroit has 916, 952 residents. The US has 305, 247, 000 people in it. Am I only the person who sees a problem with that?

Yes, you are. A lot of people choose to live in small towns. This is America. Home of the free and the brave.

4. Her first months as mayor of Wasilla were so rocky that there was talk of a recall attempt in 1997.
That’s what happens when a new mayor is voted in to disrupt and outst a corrupt city government.
After that success, she was elected Governor, fought and won on corruption, kicked out the status quo in the governos office and now the state has a surplus. Compare her to say, a Jennifer Granholm who has left Michigan in far worse condition than when she started and couldn’t even exercise her authority against a thug mayor (twice elected by the citizens of Detroit) that drove the once great city into the ground. It happens. People who do the right thing are always criticized by the status quo. By the way, Obama was never a mayor or a governor and was only a junior senator for two years, voting “present” over 160 times, never leading a single piece of substantive llegislation. He has done very little except campaign for president and associate himself with powerful and corrupt Chicago politicians. Michelle Obama is more qualified to be president than her husband.

5. She named her first child Track because he was born during the track season...good thing he wasn't born in the fall. Football Palin would have made a great name!

Obama named his girls Sasha and Malia. Shasha is short for Natasha (her birth name) and means born on Christmas Day (she could have been named Santa Claus p; it’s also a Russian name. If she had been a boy, likely the name woild have been Boris. Malia is Hawaiian and means calm and peaceful. It could have been Cyclone or Volcano. Your comment was as ridiculous as my response
Why would someone pick on the name of a kid in an argument as to why someone “sucks”? Really.

6. She is already surrounded by scandal w/ the whole Troopergate thing.
Scandal is not taking action againsst an alcohol drinking on the job state trooper (think of that liability against a state if he had killed someone while he was driving drunk) who tasered his own son and threatend to kill his wife’s father. Real scandal is doing business in Chicago with convicted felon Tony Rezko (going to prison for fraud) and his Iraqi billionaire buddy, hanging out with Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dorn (American terrorists), and joining a church politically connected and being mentored by a minister that spews racial hate against white people and America on Sunday mornings; not to mention Obama's his ties to Freddie and Fannie boys, Raines and Johnson (now there are a couple of upstanding citizens who gave hundreds of thousands of dollars to Obama’s campaign) . One more thing, you might want to read about how Obama won his senate seat (by stealing it out from under Alice Palmer, who helped get him acclimated into the community.

7. She has no foreign policy experience and keeps trying to front like she does.
What is Obama’s experience other than giving a speech in Germany? Do you really think Biden has any foreign policy experience? He doesn’t even know that Franklin D. Roosevelt wasn’t president when the stock market crashed in 1929 and never went on the TV to calm the American people (there was no TV then, only radio). There are advisors who have foreign policy experience. Clinton had no foreign policy experience when he was voted in and he is often credited for having the best foreign relations administration in American history.

8. She mocked Obama's community organizing efforts during her RNC speech.

Perhaps with good reason.
Here’s what Wikipedia says about the definition of a community organizer. Community organizing is a process by which people living in close proximity to each other, are brought together to act in their common self-interest. Community organizers act as area-wide coordinators of programs for different agencies in an attempt to meet community needs for various services. Community organizers are often times foot soldiers for the local political machine. Political machines were prevalent in large U.S. cities during the first half of the twentieth century, especially around the time of Al Capone. Today, very only few political machines thrive, with Chicago's machine being among the most powerful. Community organizers work actively, as do other types of social workers, in community councils of social agencies and in community-action groups. Why don’t you read about some of Obama’s Chicago friends and their ties to community organizing; people like Tony Rezko, Allison Davis, Stuart Levine, just to name a few. Oh, yes, don't forget to read about the Iraqui billionaire (Nadhmi Auchi)who had ties to Saddam Hussein; perhaps a reason Obama was so adamant about the Iraq war.

9. She required women to pay for their own rape examinations while she was mayor.

You might want to check FACTCHECK.ORG….The operative sentence that the CNN report about Palin (accusing Palin of what you say above) that was left out was this : “But Croft, a Democrat, says he does not recall discussing the issue with Palin at the time”.
Did you know that Obama voted four times to allow a fetus that lives after being aborted from the mother’s womb to receive no medical care and be left to die? Taxpayers are paying for that.

10. She remains inaccessible to the media and the public. She has only given 3 network interviews compared to Biden--who has done 89 national and local interviews. I guess she thinks this is some kind of third world country or that Americans are dumber than she is.

The media has been unusually cruel to Palin, not to mention her family from the minute she stepped out on the podium to accept the nomination. Here are just a few of the disparaging incidents: US Magazine…Babies, Scandals and Lies – accusing Palin about lying about her Down’s child (that it was really her daughter’s baby). Compare that same magazine that only the week before, had a picture of the Barak and Michelle on the front and glowing article titled “Why Barak Loves Her”…just a little slanted, don’t you think? Also, the cruel comments about her 17 year old daughter’s pregnancy; thel lies about Palin’s husband committing incest with his own daughters, implying that the Down’s child with the 17 year old was the result of this incest; making fun of the names of her children; making fun of her “hockey mom” label; lipstick comments to demean her; disrespecting the choice she has made to be in the work force and somehow call her an unfit mother because she has 5 children and one special needs child and is running for the vice presidency; The media has been incredibly unkind to this woman and so the decision not to meet with them, in my opinion, makes sense. If it were me, I would not meet with them until after the election.

11. During the few interviews that she has done, she has proven that she is an expert at dodging and avoiding answering crucial questions.

You haven’t listened to Bob and Weave Obama lately, especially during all the debates before the nomination and including the one last night with John McCain. Her bob and weave is her inexperience in dealing with a national left-wing media that obviously hates her and spins everything she says or does.

12. She hasn't done her research on what the VP role actually consists of. Somebody should've been in Inteviewing 101. Bush Doctrine anyone?

Quite sure she undersands her role as VP. The Bush doctrine has several meanings throughout the years and even the interviewer, Charley, didn’t know what the “current meaning” is and has egg on his face as a result of trying to play “gotcha” with Palin.

13. When CNN interviewed her so called friends, half of them weren't even going to vote for her. Hmmm...

When a hostile news media looking to discredit someone sends a swat team of journalists to Alaska, combing every bar, jail and homeless shelter, quite likely they will find people who want their 15 minutes of fame and will say anything controversial to get their picture on TV.
By the way, ask Alice Palmer, former Chicago community organizer, activist and once close friend of Obama. Ask her if she’s voting for Barak. Also, you might ask why CNN hasn't sent the same number of journalists to Chicago to dig up dirt on Obama; like maybe they would have to fear for their lives?

14. She told Katie Couric that she think the US might be heading into a Great Depression. You can't say things like that when you're a leader! You're supposed to offer people hope not freak them out.

The truth hurts. How refreshing that we have at least 2 politicians willing to tell the truth and what people need to hear instead of what they would like to hear.

15. She just sucks in general. Go back to Alaska. The first thing Obama should do when he becomes president is kick Alaska out of the US for producing you.

She sucks in general, you say? Why? Because she has worked her way through college, given back to her community, married a good guy that didn’t walk out on her , drink or use drugs? Because she got active in her children’s PTA , took her son to hockey, got involved in politics in her home town and ran for mayor? Because she knew that getting involved in her community would help to improve it; because she took it a step further and ran for Governor to help improve her state? Because she doesn’t have a bunch of kids from different fathers who are not active in the lives of their children. Because she loves this country enough to run for vice president and take all the crap that the media and the democrats have handed her and her family? Because she wants to give back to the country that has given her and so many others so much opportunity? I call her a success, a good and productive citizen, a true American. And you say, “She sucks in general”?
How dare you!
What have you done for your community, your neighborhood, your country? What are you and those around you doing to improve the lives of others? What have you done to make a difference in anyone’s life? What have you done to give back? What are you doing?

And use Wikipedia to back your facts?

Wow...

Also, the fact that they can't see the obvious error in #1; with the rising numbers of "minorities" in America...well...me thinks you know where I'm going with this...

@ anonymous: First of all, thank's for taking the time to share your rather lengthy opinion of my opinion. I really do appreciate it.

Second of all, because I just finished with college, I have no desire to critique your argumentative essay at the moment; although, after a quick read through, there are very obvious weaknesses in your argument that stand out.

But the bottom line is that even if Sarah Palin is a "success, a good and productive citizen, a true American", that doesn't make her qualified to be the next vice president of the US and Americans are quickly becoming disenchanted with her and now Obama is leading McCain in the polls 50% to 42%...so I guess I do have some reasons to be thankful for Sarah Palin's presence in the election. I can't wait for Thursday's debate to see how much more damage she can do!

Oh yeah...and how I dare I? Because I am an American citizen who is entitled to my own opinion on MY blog and if it looks like a duck, quack likes a duck, then it's an unqualified VP pick and I'm going to call you out on it. And don't worry about what me or the people around me are doing to make a difference in the community, you need to worry about getting ready to deal with this Change We Can Believe In. Obama-Biden 08!!! Thank you.

"Change"; you've been fooled. Reality: Rezko is now cooperating with the feds for a reduced sentence. What is even more "creepy" than Palin as VP? Chicago machine politics running the federal government.

Even the mentally impaired knows why Palin in not an ideal pick as the VP of America. U wanna know why? Cuz she's FUCKING RETARDED HER DAMN SELF! Me, like other citizens, are concerned with the growing problems in America from the Economy to Health Care. But as a citizen of Nigeria as well, I must say Palin INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE, apparent lack there of, and McCain insistence that leaders in countries such as Iran and Pakistan are not capable of being diplomatic will ultimately lead to the demise of this country. Keep talking that shit McCain and Palin during ur lil press conferences and debates. God help us if the enter office. We'll be fighting 3 LOOSING WARS AT THE SAME TIME! Just wait. And who is this Anonymous Mofo anyway? I don't care if I was unemployed, homeless, and could give a fuck less about the community, I have the right to voice my opinion. And, as I digress...a little, Palin is in a fucking cult. Dis bitch was receiving prayers against witchcraft. WITCH CRAFT ? For real? Mofos threatened to bomb the US and u pray against witch craft. And to add on how stupid Palin is, she does not know anything about supreme court cases. So not only is ur ass dumb when it comes to foreign policy but also when it comes to the judicial history of our country. Come on, what ever Republicans who, now ashamed to be associated with, were strong and I defended? And get this, The Republican party knows how dumb Palin is. Wanna know how I know, the Republican party is already making a media frenzy over the moderator in the VP debate. So when Palin shows her stupidity across America, the Republican Party will blame it on the black woman. WHAT A SHOCKER! So my RACIST ANONYMOUS, boss the fuck up and reveal urself. Shit u might as well go all the way and put on ur KKK hood and climb on ur horse dammit!
-I GO HARD :)

The biggest problem this country faces now besides terrorism and racism is people like you who want all of the freedoms, all of the rights and none of the respnsibilities. I don't ride ponies.

I’m Young, Black, Hispanic and Voting for John McCain. Here’s Why.

By Claudio Simpkins
A contributor to HipHopRepublican.com, Simpkins is a third-year Harvard Law student, Harry S. Truman Scholar and Jeanette K. Watson Fellow

Far from being the post-racial campaign that pundits have talked and written about for months, this election cycle is proving to be the most racialized ever. Every word, gesture, act or omission is scrutinized by the media for double-meaning or racial undertones. But when we move beyond race and talk about what really matters -– the qualities we all seek in a president –- things become clearer. Senator John McCain is the best man for the job.
This doesn’t take anything away from Senator Obama. As a young Black and Hispanic male, I see Senator Obama as a role model. No one can deny his amazing achievement and inspirational life story. I also understand the concern of the Black and Hispanic communities given the Republican Party’s unfortunate recent history with regards to race. Senator McCain however, represents the best of what the Republican Party has to offer: service, experience, independence, judgment and pragmatism.
Senator McCain is a well-respected and known reformer. Significantly, McCain took on the entirety of the Republican establishment on immigration, offering leadership in devising a respectful and effective immigration policy. Unfortunately, the discourse surrounding the immigration issue from more xenophobic parts of the party has turned off many Hispanics to the GOP entirely. But it can’t be denied that McCain refused the politically expedient route and stood by his principles. This is the sort of bravery we should seek in our leaders.
The popular Democratic talking points that paint McCain as the second coming of President Bush miss the mark. McCain has repeatedly illustrated that he is his own man on issues of the highest import: interrogation techniques, diplomacy and nuclear proliferation, even the handling of the War in Iraq. Senator Obama’s record, on the other hand, reveals few attempts at bipartisanship and even fewer instances of the senator taking a principled stand in opposition to his party. With a country as divided and polarized as ever, can we really expect someone with the most liberal voting record in the entire Senate (see The National Journal’s 27th annual vote rankings) to compromise, to heal, and to unite? I have my doubts.
In spite of the utter incompetence of Congress, Senator McCain has proven himself willing to do what it takes to get the job done. McCain-Feingold, McCain-Lieberman, McCain-Kennedy, the Gang of Fourteen –- the list goes on. Senator McCain’s record indicates an individual committed to doing what is right, not simply what is politically expedient. It belies a man of deep conviction, of even temperament and sound judgment. Senator McCain might not always say or do what’s popular. Perhaps that’s why he’s losing this race. But perhaps that is exactly why he should be leading us through the next four years.
